    Windows Live Messenger contact gone! HELP!

    i signed into messenger tonight and all my contacts are gone... i still have a heap of contact on my HDD but not all, is there an easy way to get them from there into messenger withoput doing it manually one by one? (btw WLM does not recognise these files...) what am i meant to do? they have always been kept online... i have no way of contacting most of my freinds now as i have just graduated from school... and i really need to get in contact with one of them by tomorrow... and i dont have most of these peoples ph #'s...

    how can this happen? i only use WLM on my 2 PC's and no one but me knows my password...

    Can you check the hotmail account associated with your Windows Live ID and see if they show up there? This is pretty puzzling?

    happened to me too then i asked in wl forums and found out lots of people got this prob too... then fortunately the wl team restored my contacts.. Most of themm...
