    Today when I tried to turn on "Show what I'm listening to" I get this:

    I tried to repair it:

    Trying to uninstall:

    Manually going to that section of the registry:

    And I am the admin, so I don't see how that could be a problem.

    That installer is the latest from there. (And this is vista by the way.)

    Who you think is the admin and what Microsoft thinks is the admin can often be two different things. Can you run the setup program with "Run As..." and do the Administrator account?

    Run as administrator (even though my account is the only one) still does the same exact thing with the registry key as in the first post. If only there was a way to re-install wmp11 on vista... But no, it has to be part of the OS...

    If you get any error with WMP 11, you're screwed (in Windows Vista). There is no stand-alone set-up of WMP 11, and you only have to re-install Vista (like I did today).

    However, your first post is related to WLM, and this one mentions WMP?! :confused;

    ^ look at the error boxes in his first post; they seem to be related to a registry value for WMP.

    Good ol' microsoft.

    I'd back up what I can and reinstall vista if I could, but I don't have an external hard drive and my (old) pc is boxed for a move. (And I probably won't see it again for a month or so.)

    Also, I uninstalled cccp. Then when I was installing k-lite, I got some errors. (Was trying this because of some problems I had with WMP11 and divx)

    This looped 3 times but everything still installed and works correctly.

    And yes, this did apparently change to a WMP11 problem.

    EDIT: Hmm, saw these while looking around default programs and such.

    What's wrong with these pictures?

    (Though since I'll be having to reinstall vista sooner or later, it doesn't matter much.)
