    Windows Live messenger freezes

    Windows Live messenger freezes for 5 seconds after opening a chat window. The animation would freeze. After 5 seconds, its silky smooth. Any fixes?

    Problem solved. I switched to my tomato based asus router and the lag dissappeared. The lag was caused by high ping and misrouted data from the telus router.
