I would like to get a link from someone that knows of a good website that has a lot of nice looking Windows themes that are safe, clean, and compatible with MCE2005. I looked on Microsoft's website and they only list like 5 themes for download. Thanks in advance.

Well, in most cases you need to use another program to apply the themes, its called "Windows Blinds". And this: http://www.wincustomize.com/index.aspx?c=1 website has TONS and TONS of themes (all of them are ligit, if not completely functional). Thats all I know offhand, but I might do some digging. Ohh, almost forgot - there is a "lost" theme for media center (i guess you can use it with any version of XP though) known as Royale Noir (google it, you should get plenty of hits). I love that theme, its all I use, its just like a black version of the "blue energy" theme that MCE uses.

that theme you mentioned sounds cool, i will look at it, there isn't many themes that you can install and select from the "right click desktop, properties, themes" list?

No, the only one I found that you can do that is the the Royale Noir one. Thats because its digitally signed by microsoft or something like that, and XP only lets you use themes like that if they are "certified" or it works something like that (I won't trouble you with the semantics).

Use a UXTheme.dll patcher; it allows you to use unsigned .msstyles visual styles (there's a bunch at deviantart).
Then, you extract them to C:/windows/resources/themes.. they should show up in your "right click desktop, properties, themes" list, but if they don't, you can just double-click the .msstyles file found in the archive.

No need to use windowblinds, unless you need alpha-blending (like the vista aero thing).
