Can someone just confirm for me that Windows Media Center does have multi-processor support?

Yes it does, otherwise they wouldnt sell dual core laptops with MCE as it would be pointless if they werent supported.

Kinda. It has multi-core support. Media center will NOT support two separate physical processors. Microsoft has deemed that a socket == processor, no matter how many cores it has.
