So, I was playing around with WMP on my Dell D630 laptop.

I clicked on Enhancements, and tried to change the settings a bit just for fun. Turns out that if I do anything to turn on the SRS WOW effects, or adjust the graphics equalizer, the sound completely stops.

I tried downloading SRS Sandbox to try the equalizer, but it disabled WMP from playing audio's.

Has anyone got any ideas please so that I can at least try to have some toggling ability? Thanks!

The same thing happened to me. In fact, WMP froze when I changed the WOW effects... The equalizer worked though... not the other enhancements. Have no idea what it was.. didn't have time to look around either.. :( and most importantly, I never use WMP :) So I just left it be... I use Winamp n VLC for my music n videos :)

i found a fix for this. i had the same problem. what you have you do is lower the sound quality. i put mine on the 24-bit 24000 studio quality and then i can use the SRS WOW Effect in WMP
