I was tweaking my laptop today and for some reason whenever I start up now, Windows media player runs at startup as well, Ive tried using msconfig to look for any modules to remove it, but could not find one. Also i have used adaware and virus scanners to see if it is some sort of glitch within the system to no avail.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to stop it from running at startup?

I guess this thread should be in a different section, not in the "Site Suggestions and Help"
Anyhow, try removing windows media player icon from start up list by going to
Start>All Programes>Start Up.. Hope this helps.

Go into the WMP options and check if there's a way to disable autorun.
