Anyone found a way to make a toolbar like in Vista for WMP (without rolling back into an older version of WMP) ? The most annoying thing for me is when i minimize it and click on a new song which restores the window.

And if its not possible to add the toolbar is it possible to force it stay minimized when i click on a new .mp3 ? :p

Try hovering your mouse over the icon in the taskbar for a couple of secs then a minitoolbar appears... from there you can click back, play, and forward without opening the whole media player.

As far as a static toolbar, I have not seen or heard of one... but that used to be my favorite option for it..... doesnt matter now anymore though because I have multimedia buttons to do the same task heh

    Try it though

Yea saw that one but id prefer it to the right instead near my open windows (although you can move it to the end it still doesnt beat the toolbar :p)

Do you mean a playlist ? If yes, the issue is that i usually just put one song at a time, since i like to hear what i want at that moment and not have a playlist on :p Goes with the feeling :) So its a bit annoying that if you hear 40 songs you have to minimize wmp 40 times.

You can use Zune software.. it has a mini player and taskbar. It's a great software worth to check it out.

nah no need for me to switch software any more. Used to use winamp but after a while i realised that it doesnt really make any difference which software you use so i started using wmp since it was already there :p

Im just hoping that someone else will get annoyed by this and finds a solution for us all :p Not sure if the current "fix" (replacing .dll files with the wmp 11 ones) is a decent fix for this issue.

And here I came to this thread, hoping someone had that very same question about the toolbar. And someone did! Unfortunately, the someone with the answer hasn't posted here yet.

Oh well. Someone will find a way soon.

Now that I think about it, I do wish I could get that little windows above the toolbar that would show the video you were playing in WMP. It would play a visualization if it was just audio. The current window is much much too big.
