    Hey guys,

I've run into a problem w/ W.M.P 11 where whenever I try playing any type of video (AVI, MPEG, etc) it plays in black & white or a dark tone. I uninstalled/reinstalled my codecs but nothing seemed to work. My Winamp plays the videos fine but I like using Winamp for music and WMP 11 for video.

I've done a search on the issue and it sees quite a few people have experienced the same thing, except the fix they seem to use I dont have the option (going to Tools>>Options>>Performance>>Advanced and playing w/ settings there). The thing is that I can get to Tools>>Options>>Performance, but I do not have an Advanced option in my windows media player. I've even searched the other tabs to no avail.

I havent installed any new software or anything recently. I also havent uninstalled/reinstalled WMP 11 either. Any1 have any ideas as to what might be causing this??? Thanks in advance

What about the Video settings (View > Enhancements > Video Settings )? make sure everything is set at the default locations (press reset).

yep i have KLite Codecs right now & WMP still plays in black&white (even the classic WMP that came w/ KLite also plays in Black&White). The only app that plays them correctly is winamp.

    Suggestions?
