    How do you capture video from a webcam in Windows Movie Maker 6 found in Vista? In XP WMM there is a button to capture video/audio but I can't find it in Vista.

    Yeah but there's no option to capture video from a video device such as a webcam like in Windows XP.

    I read somewhere I may have to modify some file, but I'm not sure.

    AFAIK, WMM 6 doesn't support webcams, and there is no workaround. You'll have to capture video using the software included with your webcam, then import that video into WMM 6.

    bummer. My Microsoft webcam doesn't even come with capture software.

    You are in luck - there are quite a few freeware webcam applications. Just google for freeware webcam.
