Ok i have a zv5000 laptop running vista ever time i go to update my score i get " Cannot Complete assesment. The assesment or other operation did not complete successfully. This is due to an error being reported from the operating system, driver, or other componet. " when i turned on vista for the first time i got an error saying the apci driver or somthing wasent installed i dont remember exactly what it said it was a few days ago and only flashed up for a few seconds. Also this laptop is running windows xp video drivers and sound drivers. i have reformatted this computer once i got the same problem. The specs are Amd athlon 3000+ xp 512mb of ram nvidia go 420 32mb graphics. And lastly there are no question marks under drvice manager. If anyone knows a fix for this id be happy because i cant find one any where and i cant run aero because my system rates a 1.

i'm only guessing/speculating here, but maybe the specs are too low for vista? or lower than 1. i'm just guessing that mostly because you only have 512 mb of ram. maybe upgrading to 2 gigs would help?

^^^ better yet. what he said. but 2 gigs might help if you're trying to extend that laptop's life.

I believe that WEI will only run on WDDM capable GPU's. Since you are running Win XP drivers and the fact that the Go 420/440 do not have WDDM qualified drivers WEI wont run or give any meaningful results. Aero wont run on that GPU either.

iv heard that you can hack aero in the registry or somthing to force the system to let it work.

Or maybe you can manually hack the WEI SCORE and put 9.9? here

Or you want to use a program to do it, use winbubble :D

me too... I upgraded my ram to 3GB, still no difference but it enters the windows much faster and the most important thing it runs the programs much faster! :D

Don't worry about the Rating. It depends on what do you do. or what software's do you use everyday.

In Vista, Getting 2GB and above RAM will make your life easier and day by day you'll appreciate it compared to XP.

Also, while I'm writing programs, It's easy to debug and test using VPC 2007 or VirtualBox if you have more RAM.
