I'd like to but all of my computers have specific jobs right now and I can't setup any testing installs with them. Can I borrow your notebook? :p

Oh I forgot to mention... Server 2008 R2 will be the first Windows OS to be 64 bit exclusively. No more pesky 32bit and RAM limits.

Yeah it will be nice not have the the limits. I wish they would have done the same with Win 7.

it's nice in the server environment, but the consumer environment is not yet there. it's great to install win7 on 32bit only systems and see it perform great (old p4 with radeon9600 and similar, all awailable and still working for a bargain.. then again, with 2gb of ram or more (again, hell cheap), vista works just as well on those machines :)).

but i like the day where the 32bit wow goes away (or stays optional for installation :))

Thanks for the link! However, I can't seem to use the product key on the site to activate it. I'm running it in a virtual machine for the time being just to evaluate it, so I think that has something to do with this problem. Anyone else having trouble activating it?

Will it allow you to continue without a key?

    For 3 days, yes :D

After 3 days, I'll have to delete it unless I can get a working trial key.

Oddly, it was announced that server 2008 r2 was 64 bit only. However, if you look at the system requirements they have a section for the system requirements for 32 bit systems.
