Server 2008 R2 is the server equivalent of Win 7. It's pretty much same the as the desktop counterpart but it is more stripped down and it has all of the server admin tools. I ran Server 2008 for about a year and now I am using Win 7.

I am surprised this was added to Deramspark so quickly. It took a while for them to get Server 2008 on there.

Server 2008 R2 is worth checking out for the new version of Hyper-V, if you're into virtualization technologies and have hardware that supports it.

    no, and no :)

but it's still worth checking out :)

espencially as i know that homeserver2 is built upon it.

i really hope for home server2, we get the console (and other addons) installed as remote-apps instead of a remotedesktop. it would be so cool :)
