This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    LOL, the vunerability has been there and known since day 1. Just like accessing a vunerable web page and letting it go to town. This is just M$ justfying Windows 8 and Metro. M$ is just capatalizing on consumer fears to justify loosing present functionaility and giving a reason to upgrade.

    The fact M$ is resorting to this already, even before the Windows 8 launch, just shows how afraid they are. They are afraid as Windows 7 and even Vista may be the main reason for the failure of Window 8. Now this is just SAD..................
