This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Windows Sidebar issue

    How come sometimes when i start my laptop, windows sidebar does not appear? i have to turn it on from the start menu.

    Do you wait for it to load? maybe it's a gadget problem, look at the comments to see if anyone else is having problems like this. Or you just don't have on "start up when system starts up" option.

    u have any gadgets that must access internet? if that is the case, sometimes it would get stuck and cannot recuperate because the connection was not up before the gadget started. This happens with other "docks" as well, and not limited to vista sidebar
