This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I have read that SSD's will be useful coming up soon because the Windows swap file can be stuck on it and accessed quicker than on a HDD.

    Where is the swap file located by default? Can I physically find it and move it? Any information on the subject of paging/swap file and how to optimize it are appreciated.
