Hey there I am having an issue with windows update.
This is what happened: I was installing office xp on a vista system but for some reason the update Service pack 3 of the office xp would not install on vista so i decided not to. Now every time i start the system it tries to configure that downloaded update which is not installable. What can I do to delete the downloaded update?

Try going into Add/Remove programs and show updates. Look for "Office XP Service Pack 3" or something along those lines. If it's there, uninstall it.

Just uncheck the available updates and close windows update and select don't offer these updates anymore. Then you can reinstall sp3 directly from microsoft. Sometimes you need to Have the installation cd to install the update.

Sorry that was in xp. In vista when you close the update window it will show that option.
