So I just flew back from Europe to the US and when I turned my computer on in the plane the brightness was at full blast. I tried to dim it, and the keys wouldn't work.
I have check my (Fn) key works, and my (Down arrow) works to.
So again I turned it on this morrining and it was bright again. I left it on while I had some food and come back its Dim again.
Info:
I had it pluged in and it still Dim
I have it unplug and also still dim.
Found this link and well I don't have the "Adjust Display Brightness"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929249
If you got any ideas I am all open to them. Thanks

I have done some more research and it seems like it when my computer went into sleep mode and it saved the brightness setting.
I saw 2 people with about the same problem but they did a Bios update. I think mine is just a bug with the windows OS.
anyone got idea's ? -
i experienced this alot , i used to restart my pc and it works
try this -
I restarted it and well nothing. ok I am going to do a Bios Update and will see if that works.
Update : I couldn't even get the Bios Update because Gateway sent me to the wrong file and that is all they have. So I am back to square 1 .
