I read on the microsoft website that basic didnt run dual-core processors, does anyone know anything on the subject? I can't find any material on the subject![]()
By the way i have the dual core monitor gadget running and it says that both cores are being used by vista and other programs?
can anyone shed some light on this faulty operating system?

No...Basic doesn't support two processors (as in using two sockets on a mobo). It fully supports dual-core processors in a single socket.

I read on the microsoft website that Vista is supposed to be much better, faster, more secure, less prone to crashing than any other operating system.

Basic supports dual and quad cores, as long as its in a single socket.
