I "accidentally" uninstalled Vista SP1 and now I want to reinstall it. Is it OK to reinstall by using System Restore? Downloading the install package takes a long time... :( (I thought a problem was SP1-related but it's not)

Reinstall it. Not a good idea to get back to SP1 using system restore. Anyways, if you go through Windows Update the package size should be managable compared to the full download of SP1.

    Alright...
So if I used System Restore to get SP1 back, do I have to uninstall it again and then reinstall it the normal way?
Any stability/performance issues with using System Restore?
