Is there any way to change the background when Windows Vista is first starting up? I'm talking about that greenish-blue background during login and shut down.

The only way I have heard of is third-party software. Bear in mind I haven't done this myself, but just recently I saw a link to LogonStudio, which is made by Stardock, which makes ObjectDock, and it allows you to change the login screen background. Here you go: http://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/

I'm currently testing this out for problems with vista so if you have any problems be sure to tell me. But it seems everything is working fine so i'll send in the recommendation to live so he can add it to his thread.

Come on no need to be mean mistakes happen.
I've been using Logon Studio for a while and works really well with Vista.
Check out this site for skins: http://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?libid=26 -
He's not talking about logon studio even if it's a good app. He's talking about something like bootskin.

If I'm not mistaken the OP talked about the "greenish" thing that appears during startups and shutdowns. Also, some people already suggested logon studio.
