    Windows Vista Startup problem

    hi, just installed vista however there is no logo as vista loads just when you turn it on. it has a green bar going from one side to the other but there is no logo above that, is there meant to be?

    I've never seen a logo yet on any computer.

    Yeah, same here. I don't think there is supposed to be a logo on that loading screen. I don't think it depends on the version either, because I'm running Ultimate, and I've seen it the same way on Basic.

    I believe the windows flag orb(or whatever its called) which appears after the green scrolling bar seems to have replaced the startup logo.

    Just think what they did with XP SP2. They removed the OS edition under Windows XP during the boot screen.

    On start-up a bar appears with Vista (Ultimate) below it then when everything is done the Vista orb appears.

    You will not see a logo on the loading screen in any version of Windows Vista. The reason Microsoft gives for taking the logo out of the loading screen is that it allows your computer to load faster. Tests they've done show that it can speed the start-up by 4-6 seconds.
