    Windows Vista Ultimate Backup computer help

    currently i have been trying to backup my computer using complete backup on my windows vista ultimate but every time i try when i click the button it says

    " (X) The backup application could not start due to an internal Error:
    The specified service does not exist as an installed service. (0x80070424)
    Please check your system configuration and try again. "

    and i do have all the updates, unless there is one that isnt labled (Important) that i dont have does any one know which one it is?

    have you done any tweaking? ie., disabling services.

    Are you dual booting?

    No i have not all i have done is installed windows vista to my new SSD and installed updates and varius programs

    with your dvd in the drive, run sfc /scannow

    Something is missing because it sounds like the shadow copy service is not running
