I am getting my new Laptop on Monday, and it has Window's Vista. However after reading about several different things I am becoming worried that perhaps the Windows Vista program won't operate with some of the older games that I am interested in. My question is, will games that function on Windows XP still be able to function on Windows Vista? For example, Star Craft and it's Exspansion Brood War, or Pool of Radiance? Both games say they function on a XP operating system, so will they work on Vista?

It depends on the game. For example, Need For Speed Carbon could not load past the intro screens in vista. While CounterStrike Source could run. You can check each publisher's compatibility details for each game together with the game list from LIVEFRMNYC.
