Im having trouble with my internet explorer and vista.....
first off, when I have multiple windows open at one time and then I move my cursor to the " X" tab to close one of the windows it will automatically shut all the windows close and I mean all windows (Internet explorer) that I have open......and worse thing is sometimes it even restarts my computer after all the windows are close.
anyone having the same trouble?.....is this something I can adjust the setting somewhere? how can I solve this?....any comments and suggestions will be much appreciated
Thanks all!!!!

What happens if you just hit Ctrl+W (the shortcut key to close one tab)?
-
Have you scanned your computer with antivirus + antispyware?
-
its not just a tab issue....because it happens when I have multiple websites open on separate windows and not just one windows with multiple tabs...it just for some reason shuts all the windows i have open down.
And yes I do run regular virus/spyware scan on my notebook and so far no viruses are found.....so this leaves me dumbfounded.......and I haven't experience any lagging or decrease in performance, the notebook works great other than this annoying issue -
Do you have any add-ons? (Yahoo?)
-
no add-ons either. -
Could you take a look in "Tools --> Manage add-ons" just to be sure there is nothing

Hmmm I don't know...
Do you have all latest Windows updates and IE updates?
You could use Firefox until you find a solution -
It does the same thing to my firefox......I dont think it is an issue with the browser..........the most annoying part is when it closes everything ur working on and when it restarts the PC. -
It sounds sort of like something is set to close all instances of whatever program. And when all instances of Internet Explorer are closed, then it messes up Windows.

I have the same issue but I don't know the fix. This seems intermittent for me and does not happen all the time, which is even tougher to diagnose.
