    Hi,

I've installed Windows Vista Ultimate Edition (32bits) on my Toshiba Satellite M60-BK3, but I can't get any sound either the correct video settings. I've searched on the internet and it seems that this Satellite family is not supported to be upgraded to Windows Vista

Does anyone have any idea of how can I get these drivers in order to make my laptop work fine with Vista??

    Thank you.

    Rodrigo

You probably aren't going to have much luck. Vista's sound system had an overhaul, and if the manufacturer doesn't update the drivers to support the new copy protection crap, you're outta luck there. The video settings, it depends on what card is in there... if it's NVIDIA or ATI, you should be able to get an aftermarket driver package of some sort.

    Tks for the reply.

Actually I executed Windows Update last night, and the sound is now working fine... but the video drivers were not updated. If you try to update the video driver manually, it says that the latest and best video driver is already installed. :S

    My notebook is this: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2443

So I believe my video card is NVIDIA GeForce Go 6600. In device manager, it says Standard SGA Video adapter, or something like that.

Do you think I can still have hope? I really want this to work right with Vista ..

    Thank you!

Check out www.laptopvideo2go.com and install the latest stable Vista drivers. That's the only way I know of that might get it working.

Hi Rodrigo (rpires), I have the same M60-BK3 as you and I am also looking for the graphics card driver to make Windows Vista work. I followed your thread and got directed to the site of the driers for vista but I am not sure which driver to install.

In any case, if you found a way to make it work, I would greatly appreciate your help.

    Thanks,

    Hamoudi
