Hey,
I was testing out hooking up my laptop (Dell Inspiron E1505) to a projector to be used later in a powerpoint presentation. It worked fine, but after disconnecting the projector I noticed something was different about my fonts at certain places (like the start menu). This also occurs in other places like certain program menus, etc. It looks smaller and "skinnier" (probably bad wording here..). Here is a screenshot of my start menu compared to a picture I found on Google images (I'm pretty sure my menu fonts used to look like the one in the picture):

I checked my resolution and DPI settings but everything seems normal. I also tried restarting but that doesn't help, so I'm a bit confused as to what can be causing this problem and would appreciate it if anyone can help me solve it.
Thanks for your help.

Ok it seems I have fixed the problem. For some reason ClearType was turned off for Windows Aero, and after going to Appearance Settings -> Effects, I enabled ClearType and everything looks normal now.
Windows Vista font problem?
