    Hello!

    I am using Windows Vista Home Ultimate, and I have a problem.

    Whenever I click a file which is associated with Windows Media Player, I get the "Open with" prompt. I have set them to be opened with Windows Media player, from "File types", and from the "Open with" box as well by clicking the "Aways use the selected program for this kind of file" check-box. Even the "Open with" prompt box says Windows Media Player is set to be the default player for such file types, and so does Vista, but still opens up everytime I play a file. How do I solve this problem?

    Thank you! :)

    It's not difficult to set the program associations.
    Lucky for you I will post a topic about this in my website TODAY.

    Anyway, I'll give it to you now. you will be the first to know how.
    Control Panel->Default Programs->Set Associations.

    Thank you for replying. But like I said, I have already done both of these.

    Yes, I had already done it. I have removed Windows Media player as much as I could, and re-downloaded it.

    Open Windows Media and associate files from the menu. You can bring up the menu if you press <ctrl> and "F"

    No option visible for association now in WMP, and I think I had already done it when I first ran WMP. I have done it now in the control panel box as well. But no solution.
