Just got my new notebook (R61, P8100, NV140, 3GB RAM, 160 GB 7200 RPM), and am quite happy with it, besides for the fact that I didn't get a version of Vista x64!
Anyway, I managed (thanks to site mydigitallife, and digitalrivercontent) to obtain a copy of x64. I want to make sure I did the whole boot process with it correctly. I'm wondering how large the disc should be in terms of bytes for size on disc. Mine's at 3,796,492,288 bytes, (3.54 GB), and I just want to make sure that the copy is good before going through with the install.
Thanks!

hmm Try comparing the Hash of the Original x64 OS with yours
For Example here is Hash for x64 MSDN Version
Code:File Name: en_windows_vista_with_service_pack_1_x64_dvd_x14-29595.iso CRC32: 5cc5be14 MD5: e4ce0b193d94279e4dce1098d6b5afeb SHA1: bdadc46a263a7bf67eb38609770e4fdbd05247cb Size: 3.66 GB (3,930,677,248 Bytes)

That has SP1 integrated. The checksums will be different from Digitalriver

The DVD should be 12 cm in diameter
Joking aside, (I don't have the .iso file on hand but...) I remember it's around 3.5 GB. I, too, downloaded it from digitalrivercontent.
