I am using Windows Vista Ultimate x86 on my Asus. While just normal using of my laptop (IE7, browsing through files, WMP etc) after some time my desktop sort of becomes corrupted. By this I mean, the Quick Launch Bar, and the whole start bar starts acting funny, things appear different and in different places, after this point I cant open any windows, when i press the start button the menu does open but it has nothin written (no text) but when say if I clicked the spot of control panel, control panel opens)
    What do I do??

When you say 'after some time my desktop become corrupted' do you mean when you restart it is ok but after an hour working it becomes messed up? Does it always happen when you start some program or do some task? Is it random?

Do a system restore if you can. If it doesnt help you might need to format and reinstall. Always hard to find a problem in windows.

Try reinstalling or upgrading your video drivers before you do a full system reinstall. Vista's drivers still aren't completely ironed out. NVIDIA cards have drivers available at www.laptopvideo2go.com
