In my opinion, Windows Vista is great, but I do run into problems with drivers and programs that arent compatable with Vista. Well guys, let's make sense of this.

It's not hard to realize that in a few months most programs will make Windows Vista compatable upgrades and drivers will be out (if they arent out already). Other than the program and minor driver problems I had, Vista is great.

    Just my opinion.

I'm waiting for the first service pack, where they have some of the fixes and bugs worked out.

I haven't had any compatibility or driver problems with Vista. I am waiting for a more advanced vLite so that I can remove all of the useless fudge, then I will start using it as my primary OS.

Doubtful. If anything, it will get more complicated through a series of revisions/endless security hotfixes. Vista is all about DRM 100%. While I agree with it in theory, the way in which it is currently applied is far too restrictive and problematic.

The answer is not "hacking", as it will only make DRM even more justified and unuseable. Content creators and end users need to come together on a mutually beneficial arrangement concerning the usage of liscensed digital material. If not, there will be few end users and nothing to gain in the digital marketplace anyway.

    :)

SP1 is due out the second half of this year according to a number of sources.

I'm really enjoying Vista myself. All drivers were available at release, and no program compatibility issues for me. I use my laptop mainly for internet stuff as well, so that's why i was willing to jump in at release. For those waiting i don't blame them. I can sit here and tell you how great it runs for me, and how much i enjoy it, but the fact of the matter is i won't install it on my PC until i know everything is going to work first time through...
