I have Spysweeper for my home computer. Do I need to install the antispyware for the my new notebook that has Windows XP?

Try Spybot and Ad-aware. They are free.

If you want to protect yourself from spyware, use a internet browser that is not Internet Explorer. Most of the stuff is written for Internet Explorer. I personally use Mozilla, but there are other like Opera and Netscape amongst others.

Good point . . . Mozilla FireFox is my first choice. IE is just for updates.

Yes, Firefox is great for avoiding most spyware. For removal of the rest, spybot and ad-aware SE (as stated above) are wonderful programs (also free). good tips guys/ladies.
