Does anyone know much about the media edition. And do you have to have a tv tuner in your laptop or desktop in order to record, pause and play tv shows and movies?

It's like XP, just has more media centric functions. Yes, to use the TV stuff you need a video card capable of receiving a coaxial cable or a dedicated tv tuner card. For notebooks, this can be an external piece of hardware.

Although I am not sure you can get this XP version as a separate item. It might just be preinstalled in select systems.
