This is sort of a OS/Hardware question but nonetheless, I have a new 5.1 speaker set with Windows XP Media Centre edition. Along with a new Creative Sound card.

Neither of the two (control panel :- 'sounds and devices', or Creative's 'speaker settings') allows me to set it up with a left speaker, right speaker, centre, and Sub-woofer (I cannot use the rears...). That would be "3.1?" right????

There is 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, Quad, 2.1. But no 3.1? Strange.... Can you offer me any advice?
