Hi everyone,
I suddenly find that the copy paste is not working in my windows XP. It was all good the last time I used them and I locked my machine [ did not restart] and unlocked it back again to see it isn't working. I killed a few processes that were eating up my resources and weren't useful [ but all the processes except for Microsoft outlook were not under the Microsoft umbrella] . Does anyone come across such copy paste broken issue. My friend also mentioned he has it quite often but has'nt figured out what leads to it.
I would glad if any of you have a fix for this or why is gets broken.
Regards

Try to kill that outlook process as well. You can always restart it.

Hi qhn,
even closing outlook does'nt work. The problem seems to be the clipboard. One of my editors cries out that it is not able to open the clipboard.
Is it possible to start clipboard without restarting the system?

Download and run it. It will tell you more about some other processes that might cause the clipboard to hang.
Try it first before resorting to a restart

Hi Everyone,
The problem was with the clipbook disabled in my Services.msc. After I made it automatic and enabled, its back working smoothly. The problem started with me copy a big bunch and may be there was a buffer overflow that shut up the clipboard. Anyway, Now that it can start back automatic it is fixed.
