This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Just bought an Acer aspire 5021 with amd64 turion processor, is there anything to be gained when going from WinXp home to WinXp64?

    Even though there are less programs for WinXP 64, some of the programs it does have run amazingly fast, as my friend showed me on his computer but other than it's pretty much the same until more 64 bit stuff comes, imho

    I would wait until there is more support from other 3rd party companies. Also, some vendors are not updating their X64 drivers.
