    Windows goes blank after 'resuming Windows'

    My dads laptop, wont load up after resuming window screen, it goes blank, and all you can see is the mouse, does anyone have an idea what it can be? is it a virus?.Any ideas on how to fix this?...

    Weird. I literally had this problem 10 minutes. I would love to know what caused it. Were you using Windows 7?

    Mines has been acting up in a similar way since 3 days ago. After a certain amount of time online the screen would just go blank, it's still on but unlike yours there's no mouse pointer and then I'd have to hardboot. Dam I don't want to reformat.
