I was wondering if Windows Live Messenger is affected by the speed or stability of your internet connection. What I'm having is a weird problem because on occasion at school, where the wi-fi isn't as stable as it is at home, WLM will lag/not respond and crash every time i would try to open it. But at home this never happens because my wi-fi is stable.

Once again, this only happens at school, not sure why.

That (internet connection) and firewall settings (from the server/router).
