Do any of you get the error where windows loads a temporary profile, because it either could not find it or did not have sufficient privileges to load it? And how do I get rid of it?
-
Now with Windows 7 yet, but I've seen it with earlier versions. First step, run system restore to a point before the error occured

I get a temporary user profile if I log into quickly. So at the log in screen (since my account is password-protected), if I don't let it finish loading for a few seconds, it will load up a temporary profile but in that case, i can log off and the next time I log in, it will be my profile. I think it has something to do with a driver but I went through the list and I don't know what could be causing it.

are they planning on fixing this?

What kind of error is it?
Windows will load you into a temporary profile if your current profile is corrupted. -

never seen something like that...I wonder if what you think is happening is really happening.
If you care to run an experiment, next time it happens, create a temporary folder with a unique name on your "temp profile" desktop and reboot. When you log back in on the correct profile. Do a search for the folder. Where is it located?
Also, with hidden files and folders showing, what do you see in the c:\users\{profile name) folder?
Create another profile and see if the problem can be recreated in it. -
