    Hi all,

A while back I asked whether it would be worth my while to use an old desktop as a media server for my household. We have a few computers at home, but using my laptop isn't the best since it's not always here. My old desktop uses a fair amount of energy, so keeping it on 24/7 would be a waste of electricity. My question is, would I be able to run windows 7 or home server or whatever, and use my xbox 360 as an extender, while keeping the server (my old desktop) in sleep mode? So let's say I leave it on sleep mode 24/7, and I want to watch a movie i have on it. I power on my xbox 360...can I access the media on the server that's in sleep mode?

    Thanks in advance!

accessing it would probably wake it up for the time it need to run and that's if if the computer ban be brought back from sleep by a comand from the network
