This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I have asked several people about this and they couldn't figure it out.(By the way please don't ask why I want to use windows messenger cus I've been getting that a lot and it's annoying) I was using windows messenger and it was working just fine...then like 5 min later I tried to sign in again and got....We are unable to sign you in to .net Messenger Service, possibly because of a problem with the service or with your Internet connection. Please make sure that you are connected to the internet.


    This makes no sense to me because it was wotking 5 min after I signed off, I am connected to the internet because I am typing this,I tried to reboot,restore,nothing works. HELP!!!!!

    You could try uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Here is a run command that should uninstall it, they I think you can reinstall off the windows cd. Please wait for a mod to comment on my run command, I've used it but only to get rid of windows messenger cause I hate it.

    RUN command for uninstall MSN messenger
    (RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%INFmsmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove)

    I've seen this before, sometimes the service just goes away...is it back for you now?
