    Hi,

    Am I right in thinking that the sticker on the underside of notebooks containing the Windows hologram and license key have a patch that fades away/melts after a while?

    Just wanting to check as I believe I have been sent a replacement refurb laptop by a certain manufacturer

    It's torn so that the sheet is ripped, but the two security strips are intact. Try tearing a five dollar bill so that it's ripped all the way through, but the US Five strip isn't touched.

    oh i see...so if one tries to rip it off..it gets torn..smart...but it still makes it look ugly :eek:
