I think the title describes the problem. I have two drives on my PC indexed. But when I enter the name of a folder in the start menu search box, it says no results were found, but when I click on the 'Search Everywhere' it opens a new window with the desired search listed there. Why does it happen and how can I show full results in start menu search iteself??

It happens because the Start menu is set up to search fewer directories than the regular search. The Start menu just searches the start menu plus your home directory (and subdirectories).
If you want to change this, right-click the Start menu > Properties > Customize... > From the big scrolling box, select Search files: Search entire index. -
The start search bar isnt extensive, so whatever you type it has to be the exact program/file name

I should've mentioned... another way to search all indexed locations is, instead of using the start menu, press Win-F and type in your search word(s).
If you want to search non-indexed locations too (which is slower), press Win-E, then press tab 3 times and then type your search word(s).
Also, to change which locations are indexed, go to Control Panel > Sys & Maint > Indexing Options. -

Pressing F3 will also give you the search window, which searches the entire index and gives you more advanced options.
Windows search question: Result dont show up in start menu, but do in 'seach everywhere'?
