    Hi all,
My window's update has a problem; I turned on automatic updating for window's update. It has been updating my computer regularly. However, this past month it has just been downloading the Security Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Services Pack 2. (kb936181) It keeps on downloading and installing over and over again. In my Update history it has been downloaded successfully 25 times!!! I don't know whats wrong...... Could this issue be because of some of the vista tweak that I performed according to the vista tweaking thread?

    my charlatan suggestion:
    . turn off automatic update
. set update to warn/inform of available updates
    . manually acknowledging the update

    cheers ...

Possibly a problem with the tweaks. Bottom line is really don't tweak unless you have a reason to and know what you are doing. Do you have an idea of what tweak might have caused it?

Don't bluntly apply the tweaks before knowing what they do to your system. Most of the time tweaks cause problems than performance gain like your case. Try system restore.
