    Hi all,

Windows update wont update, but gives me this error code: 80246008.

It has worked ealier, so I must have done something

After reading a bit, I found that it is a problem with BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) which must be activated by finding it in the services (run --> services.msc).

However, i can not find BITS in the services list?

    Hope someone can help?

    Regards and thank you.

Got a restore point? Use it.

Background Intelligent Transfer Service cannot just disappeared. Did you try the resolution steps as outlining in the article?

If i use a restore point, everything i installed sinced that point will be lost, right?

Yes, but as I do not see BITS in the services.msc list i cannot follow the steps...

System restore did not work :(

What then? It is a fresh install, and it worked at the time of the chosen restore point, but restoring to that time did not help.

    Any new ideas?
