I get the icon to notify me updates are ready for my computer. All goes well when I click the icon to start the update process. End result is the the updates not being installed. Can anyone offer a fix for this? I'm running XP Media Center ver2002 with SP3.

    Thanks

    Hum...
Well you can and may have to, manually download the updates. Good idea for next time is to put them all onto a stick or CD so you have them when Update breaks. The cause of the break could be a thousand things, 998 probably none of your doing. Here is a link I use
    Good luck!

This is usually caused with a problem with Windows Installer. Try searching Microsoft.com for solutions. Did it give you an error code?
