I got a new razer diamondback mouse last week and it said "can custom change buttons" on the software, as it has 7 buttons, but the razer software doesnt allow you to make the mouse buttons do anything you want that i can see, you just have to choose froma list and its just the same ones, so you can just swap them basicly
i had a logitec and a microsoft mouse and on the set point and intellipoint software you could make the side buttons on the mouse do things like magify and zoom, and the middle press scroll wheel button do the vista scroll tghrough open windows 3d thing
int he standard vista mouse options there is nothing to change this ,i downloaded intellipoint but that wont work unless you have a microsoft mouse, and i also saw somewhere that people used set point with a razer mouse, but i couldnt get that to work either
i found a program via google called xmouse, that sort of works but you have to have the program running and im thinking there must be a better way , or im just missing something
can anyone help ??? as id really like to be able to make the mouse buttons do any window command i want like maginfy and whatever
thanks![]()

Check out AutoHotkey. It may take some effort to configure it the way you want, but on the upside, the possibilities seem to be just about endless. I only discovered it recently, and I'm still playing with the most basic stuff, but it's bloody impressive!
