    Windows vista problem

    hi sometimes when i start my pc i choose windows vista and i see vista's startupp screen(screen with the little green item which shows that window is loading ((i donn't know it its called boot scrren) ) but when it is loaded completly my screen becomes black and i cant too any thing
    then i restart same problem
    then i restart again and this time i choose safe mode now it works i came inte the windows s logginscrren i could see my username i restarted and now i could start windows in the normal way i have benn having this porblem for sometime now . why am i having this problem

    intel e6550
    ati hd2600xt
    p5k
    2 gb ram kingmax
    500 gb sata 2 samsung

    Insert you're windows vista install disk, boot up to it.

    Once it boots up, select your languages, and before you click 'Install now', you'll see repair your computer. Click that, then when you get a list of options, select the start up option, if that doesn't fix it. You may have to use command prompt and try,

    Bootrec.exe /fixmbr
    Bootrec.exe /fixboot

    and if that fails, well, you might have to do a reinstall..

    i think i had the same problem as you. After the "Welcome" Boot Screen had loaded, it faded out, but the desktop didnt fade in :confused:

    I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del and it came up with the Task Manager options, then when i clicked Cancel, my desktop would appear.

    To solve this, i reinstalled my Graphics Drivers.

    Oh, it also might be a video driver issue also.

    video driver issue most probably...has happened million times on my vista....i used 163.69 for 2 weeks but eventually back to factory drivers
