    Hi,

I'm just wondering what the difference is between these two operating systems. I am trying to decide between the Dell D620 which comes with 'Windows® XP Professional, SP2, with media' versus the Dell XPS M1210, which I would configure to 'Windows® XP Media Center Edition.'

I am looking for a notebook with good multimedia capabilities (which I think might be the M1210 with Windows media center), but I am leaning towards the D620 for it's slightly larger screen- hence the dilemma.

    Thanks.

depending on what you mean by "multimedia" computer, you probably don't want the 620 since it only has a mono speaker and no S video out

with media, usually refers that it comes with an install disk. Media-less systems dont come with restore disks, you have to make those yourself. GL
