    Hi all;

    I'm at my wits end and need your help...please?

    I have an Aspire 9303WSMi now running Vista Ultimate, which was upgraded from the original Vista Home Premium as shipped. All worked fine up until the 'upgrade'. However, since then, the inbuilt Acer Orbicam will not function. It loads and its window loads, but there is no functionality. i.e no image! I have sought the drivers from Acer...and they do not seem to work! I have evn tried Logitech drivers as is suggested elsewhere! Does anyone know of a solution? Is it a driver conflict...are the drivers actually valid? Your thoughts and postulations would be most welcome. Many thanks!

    I have also had no luck using any drivers from my Orbicam. Bison or any other drivers I tried. Like you said, it installs just fine and windows even detects it (so do all apps) but any program that trys to use it will just freeze up.

    Thats the 1 out of 2 problems that makes Vista incomplete on my Acer 5102.
    The second problem is my Kensington Bluetooth Dongle Driver completely destroys Vista making it unbootable.

    A solution!

    Received an email from Acer support detailing the availability of Vista drivers on the following FTP site:

    ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/pub/

    The files appear to be updated from those offered elsewhere...once downloaded follow the Vista Upgrade Wizard and it should be sorted! Good luck!
